Leather products and accessories are some of the highest quality, requiring careful maintenance to stay in peak condition. So much so that some leather goods even come with instruction manuals for care! Gentle, naturally sourced leather-care products are like a luxurious treat for that smooth, sometimes finicky material. The easiest way to ensure you use the best ingredients is to make a leather polish yourself! It may sound like a lot of work, but this easiest-ever recipe can be done in less than five minutes (plus, it smells incredible). Use this DIY essential oil Leather Polish to help clean and lightly polish the surface of your leather shoes, purses, or furniture. With only three ingredients and the bonus cleansing power of Eucalyptus essential oil, this DIY is ready for use in no time.
SUPPLIES
¼ cup Fractionated Coconut Oil
¼ cup vinegar
5–10 drops Eucalyptus essential oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Add all ingredients to a small glass dish and mix thoroughly. Transfer to a small airtight container (we suggest using glass).
To use, dip a soft-bristle toothbrush or other gentle cleansing tool into mixture and lightly rub over any leather surface to clean and condition. Then, wipe clean with a microfiber cloth and let any extra moisture dry before use.
It’s that simple! Just repeat once a month or as needed depending on wear and watch your leather come back to life! Be sure to share your experience on Instagram and Facebook and tag us (@oiltreesisters). We want to see your leather shine
